FEATURES

Features of an e-commerce application

The concept of an e-commerce application is simple. It is an application that lets you buy and sell products and services. The applications can be accessed from anywhere using a computer, tablet or mobile phone. The sellers list the products they want to sell, the buyers browse through them and finalize their purchase. Some of the unique features that we included:

GALLERY OF THE PRODUCTS

PRODUCTS

Gallery of the Products

Without a proper product gallery that has at least a few images of the item, a product page is lacking. Some buyers are hesitant to make an online purchase since they can't evaluate the item like they could at a conventional, brick-and-mortar store. You can effectively solve this problem by including numerous item photos that display the object from various perspectives and within various circumstances.

Inventory Management System

From the time an item enters your warehouse until it is delivered to a customer, it provides visibility over inventory counts and positions. Products that are overstocked, understocked, out of stock, can all be seen more clearly by users. This way you can more accurately plan inventory purchases and get ready for possible shortages with this level of visibility. Hence, our skilled software developers built a reliable inventory control system that helped customers have a satisfying shopping experience. End users also felt that these Inventory counts were always almost accurate because the system automated inventory procedures and updated quantities throughout their sales channels. As a result, online counts were accurately advertised, giving customers a better chance to really find the right product.

Methodology

Our software development company follows an agile development methodology:

Ideation

Everything begins with an idea. The first and most important step is to refine your concept into a solid foundation for the application. Before beginning the design and mobile app development process, our software development company finalized the functionalities and features by doing adequate market research on the target audience and the features that will set our app apart. The initial analysis included the user's demographics, behavioral patterns, and goals.

Wireframing

The next step our dedicated team followed was creating documentation and a framework for the app. Drawing detailed sketches of the app in mind aided in the completion of the process. This step assisted in overcoming any technical limitations that may have risen during the process of developing the backend for the e-commerce app.

Designing

The experience in eCommerce apps must go beyond in-person shopping, and UX UI design is the opportunity to stand out. Design is going to be your voice and business identity for your target customers. Color schemes, visually appealing images, and smooth transitions from one page to another are what make a lasting impression on your customer. So, our team of some of the best designers do an in-depth research to create a prototype of all the features and functionalities that can be included. For designing the e-commerce app, our designers took some real user’s feedback to integrate some unique features in their designs. Then finally, the digital designing was done with the help of softwares like Figma, Adobe Xd etc.

Development

Once the design was complete, we created a working prototype that validated the functionality, assumptions, and also helped in understanding the scope of work. The development phase followed a set of steps. The core functionality of the app is developed but not tested in the first step. The second step incorporated much of the proposed functionality. The app was lightly tested here, and any bugs that were discovered were fixed.

Here’s a quick checklist for the
development process we followed:

  • Reviewed all calls-to-action and formed titles on the homepage and landing pages.
  • Tested the checkout experience.
  • Double-checked payment processing integrations (credit cards, PayPal, Stripe, etc).
  • Made sure that all images are high-definition but optimized for load speed.
  • Looked for missing product categories and descriptions.

Testing

For this, the app was given to a few people from the target audience to use, and they were then asked pertinent questions. The feedback obtained was used to improve the app, and the process was repeated until the application passed the user acceptance test. Feedback is important in ecommerce app development because it allows you to determine what works and what doesn't for your target audience.

Quality Assurance and Deployment/Launch.

Once the application was moved from stage to production, we gave it a quick test-drive to ensure that we ‘re all set in terms of ecommerce website design, performance and navigation.

Maintenance

Users may discover faults and problems in the maintenance phase that were missed during the first testing phase. In order to improve user experience and retention, these problems were readily corrected by our dedicated team of developers and designers. Our team also provides post maintenance support for upto 6 months.
